Directions

CHECK-IN begins at 1 pm.

PLEASE follow these directions as some GPS units take you down the wrong road.

If you need more details, do not hesitate to call us.

I-55 From the North: (Chicago, Bloomington)

Traveling south out of Springfield on I-55, take exit 88.  At the top of the ramp go right (it is a continuous go lane). Follow the road around the curve, proceed through the traffic light and straight to Double J Campground. We are about 2 miles from Exit 88.

I-72 From the East or West: (Champaign/Urbana, Decatur or Quincy, Hannibal)

Traveling east on I-72, follow the expressway to the I-55 south exit and follow directions above. DO NOT take Il-4 on the western side of Springfield.

Traveling west on I-72, continue on I-72 west/I-55 south. Then, follow the directions above.

I-55 From the South: (St. Louis)

Traveling north on I-55 there are 2 exits you can use.  The easiest one with softer turns is to go up to Exit 88 and take a left at the top of the ramp. Follow the road around the curve, through the traffic light and straight to Double J Campground. We are about 2 miles from Exit 88.

Or traveling north on I-55 you can also use  Exit 83. Go left at the top of the ramp, then turn right onto Frazee Road (which changes names to Palm Road).  Frazee Road is a highway frontage road (there is a small camping sign pointing right) just after you cross the expressway.  We are about 3 miles up the frontage road.  Using this route is a little shorter  in distance but has more square corner turns than Exit 88.   However, you will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere when you get off the interstate and if you miss the turn on Frazee Road, it is VERY hard to get back on track!
NOTE:  From anecdotal information gathered, numerous GPS devices take you to the back of our property (which isn’t helpful as you cannot access the park from the back) or to the marina or to the church up the road or to a very small cul de sac!….be sure to follow our directions!

Google Maps does a pretty good job of getting you here, but otherwise just follow the above directions.
